SEC Files Charges Against Senior Executives in Alleged Bribery Scheme Involving Adani Green and Azure Power

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) recently announced charges against three senior executives for their alleged roles in a major bribery scheme involving Indian energy companies, Adani Green Energy Ltd. and Azure Power Global Ltd. The scheme reportedly aimed to capitalize on lucrative solar energy projects funded by the Indian government. During the bribery operation, Adani Green raised $175 million from U.S. investors through a note offering, while Azure Power’s stock continued trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
